Only 37,127 actual miles, 100% original numbers matching drivetrain, NCRS judged and documented with the ORIGINAL TANK STICKER. Sold new at Appleway Chevrolet in Spokane, Washington (still has the original dealer license plate frame). I purchased the car in September of 2004 at the estate sale of Mr. Jon Vram who passed away in 2003. Mr. Vram was in the wrecking yard business in Spokane, Washington and had accumulated 1000s of rare parts and close to 50 rare cars. Everything was auctioned off at his residence on September 28, 2004. I stood around for 2 days waiting to purchase the Corvette which was the very last item sold. Obviously, I won. What is really interesting about this car is that Mr. Vram entombed the Corvette (for lack of a better term) inside the party room of his split level home for nearly 29 years. The back lower level wall of his house had to be dismantled in order to remove the car from the inside of the house. Attempts were made to get the Corvette up and running, but to no avail due to many factors. After trailering the car home, my crew and I took a shot at getting the Corvette running and soon found out the engine was stuck. We could not get it to move an inch. No worries, since I had every intention of restoring the car anyway. So I did. A full ground-up restoration was completed in 2008. For the most part I followed the NCRS judging guide step by step, however the judges felt that my paint and detailing were too perfect!
